About Nelson
I'm Nelson Randolph. If you opened this page looking for credentials & career history, you won't find much here. I graduated from Truman State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, have worked several customer service jobs, and worked in real estate for a few years. Hoarding resources and harming people are in much higher demand than making resources more accessible, and this imbalance is reflected in the USA's notoriously difficult job market.
At the beginning of 2025, I worked to realize an idea I'd had for a project: the People's Infrastructure, a collaborative digital space focused on making resources — especially knowledge — more accessible. Let this space help guide society out of the vicious cycle of preying upon others in order to survive.
Though I have little official documentation of my abilities & accomplishments, this website is evidence in lieu of that. My BFA came with a minor in Computer Science. My strengths are mostly in low-level programming — the raw mechanics that run in the background — which is why this site is built from plain HTML rather than a bloated framework. I'm also deeply committed to collaborative development, which is why the first major addition to this site was a Forgejo instance. You can read more about the site's purpose on the About page.
I volunteered a great deal in 2024 and even more in 2025, and am active in several community organizations. I'm also helping lead a movement in the small city where I live, Raytown, Missouri, where a few people hold unchecked control over the local government and exploit vulnerable residents while deceiving the rest.
It's worth noting that I was mostly uninvolved in politics until the city picked a fight with me at my own house, continuing Raytown's shameful history of racism. This is just another manifestation of the unjust foundation our society was built on — one that requires intense investigation, analysis, and open & honest communication to address.
Thank you for reading. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need assistance or want to bring something to my attention. I may take a few days to respond, but I will get back to you — as long as the message is not obviously unfunny and a poor use of time.
