PeoplesInfrastructure.org is an inclusive digital space made to increase the accessibility of knowledge and resources. This is a collaborative environment and will continue to grow.
What's Here
PEOPLE'S NEWS — Local coverage of economic, political, and social events, with focus on communities that don't otherwise receive much coverage. Articles published here should cover events with material implications on poor & working class people's lives, explain those implications clearly and objectively, empower the reader with knowledge & evidence, and equip the reader to take action — even if the only action is sharing the article with someone more directly impacted.
The People's Infrastructure is openly biased — Housing is a human right; No one is illegal on stolen land; Gender is a construct; Oppressed peoples deserve reparations.
Contributors are strongly encouraged to name, repeatedly, the source of any conflicts & crises covered, which will often be individuals & corporations that make up the wealthiest 1 percent and hold a monopoly on violence. Opinions are welcome but must be clearly labeled as such. People's Infrastructure is not a gossip site.
FIND RESOURCES — A directory of places — physical & digital — to access necessities, tools, and things that improve well-being. Everything listed here must be personally verified by the contributor at the time of submission. Contributors should be willing to receive feedback or find someone who can. When browsing resources, always check the publish date.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS — A knowledge base focused on power building and collective liberation. When people know their rights, they build their own power. When people build their own power, they are liberated from those who held power over them. This section contains and references data; everyone is encouraged to contribute data and sources that serve this purpose.
PROJECTS — People's Infrastructure hosts repositories for collaborative projects and resources. No account is needed to download or use a project. An account is required to contribute or upload your own. Contact Nelson if you would like to join.
